Bec Joyno is a keynote speaker, advocate, and founder of SciHigh Medical Recruitment who transforms organisations by bridging the gap between compassion and systems design. With a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) and additional studies in biomedical sciences, anatomy, and physiology, Bec helps leaders build workforces where values translate into practices that people can feel—on wards, in clinics, and across teams.


​A Perspective Forged in Experience
Bec's approach to healthcare transformation is uniquely grounded in lived experience as the parent of a childhood cancer survivor. When her daughter was diagnosed just after her second birthday, Bec's world shifted from professional observer to intimate participant in the healthcare system. Through years of treatment and recovery—the shock of diagnosis, countless hospital nights, emergency consultations, and the process of guiding her daughter through recovery—she discovered what truly sustains both families and healthcare staff: dignity, clear communication, and practical acts of care.

This personal journey didn't just change Bec; it clarified her mission. In those post-midnight hours between scans and blood tests, while the hospital world moved in its relentless rhythm, she began designing a blueprint for better healthcare—one that protects people working in healthcare while improving patient outcomes.
Bec's insights extend far beyond personal experience. Her unique combination of lived experience and professional career path creates a powerful framework for organisational change that resonates with both healthcare leaders and frontline staff.

With over a decade of experience in recruitment and Human Resources across healthcare and top-tier corporate sectors—including serving as Senior Associate in Campus Recruitment at EY and occasional keynote speaking on behalf of Camp Quality in support of Child Life Therapy, whilst also being a member and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community—Bec brings tested strategies for:
